Published Information

The information published by Royal Berkshire Fire Authority is made available through a publication scheme that guides you to information currently published or will be published in the future. For convenience and as far as possible, all information in the publication scheme is or will be made available through the website.

The publication scheme divides the published information into “classes” of information. These classes are based on our departmental functions. Under each heading there is a list of the information which we publish which relates to that function.

The website can be used to search for information that has been published electronically - see the search utlity on the Brigade Manual and Brigade Minutes links on the left menu.

Unpublished Information

Unpublished information can be requested. The easiest way to achieve this is through an electronic request for which no fee will be levied.

Alternatively, requests for information to be provided in a non-electronic manner will be accepted in writing. If the cost of disbursement is greater than £20 then a fee will be levied to supply the information.

Requests for information in writing must include:

• your name and address;
• your telephone number and email address;
• date, and
• clear brief details of the information being sought.

Requests for information in writing should either be sent by post to:

or via submission of an electronic request by using the following link:

In most circumstances the information will be sent to you within twenty days.

There may be circumstances where it is difficult to determine whether a statutory exemption applies or whether public interest outweighs the statutory exemption. In such circumstances we will agree with you an extension of the twenty day limit.

There may be circumstances where we are unable to provide the information. In a very few cases we will neither be able to confirm or deny that we hold the information you are seeking.

In all cases however we will communicate with you.
