Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service is advising people NOT to sterilise kitchen cloths and sponges in their
microwave. Even if damp, the risk of the cloth or sponge catching fire is high and householders are advised to
use a more conventional method of sterilisation.

Safe Drive - Stay Alive
Every year 1,000 young people aged 16-18 are injured on roads in the Thames Valley and around nine are killed.
Safe Drive Stay Alive is an innovative theatre education project, specially designed to bring road safety messages
to life for young people in this “at risk” age group. It was produced by a road safety partnership
including RBFRS, Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SCAS), local councils and Thames
Valley Safer Roads Partnership.
