1. Background

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service holds Recruitment Awareness sessions for people who may be interested in a career as a Firefighter but who know little about what the job actually entails and may never have visited a fire station.

There is the opportunity to have a look around the station, chat to Firefighters to get an idea of what the job is like and find out just what a career as a Firefighter has got to offer for you.

There is also the chance to try out some written and physical entry tests that potential Firefighters need to pass and gauge your fitness level.

Other Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service staff are also on hand to explain more about the application process for those who are interested in finding out more about the Fire and Rescue Service. Men and women from every background are very welcome.
