Following a service redesign, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to undertake the new role of a Prevention and Protection Policy Manager.
We want to recruit, retain and develop people who are dedicated to delivering a safe, professional and efficient service to the public 24/7, 365 days a year.
The successful candidate will require an eye for detail and a passion for change, with the ability to work in a collaborative arena engaging local, regional and national stakeholders.
This role will be directly responsible for supporting the development, provision and maintenance of policy and procedures to ensure the effective discharge of the Fire Authorities statutory duties, and ensuring that the prevention and protection policies and procedures meet the strategic and operational requirements of the Service.
The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and be an effective communicator.
Salary – Grade 5: £32,029 to £36,876 per annum.
Full-time (37 hours per week). We are happy to consider flexible working and job-share arrangements.
We offer an excellent leave allowance of 27 days (plus bank holidays) per annum, increasing to 32 days (plus bank holidays) after completing five years’ service.
The roles will be based in our Headquarters at Newsham Court, Calcot, Reading.
