Royal Berkshire firefighters have been busy over the weekend dealing with a number of incidents. Incidents of note include:
Sunday 20 August
At 5.41pm, Thames Valley Fire Control Service received reports of a garage fire on Sandstone Close, Winnersh.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road and Wokingham were sent to the scene
Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
At 3.28pm, a call was received reporting a fire in an oven on Hamlet Street in Warfield.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bracknell and Ascot were sent to the scene.
Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used one CO2 extinguish to put out the fire.
At 2.14pm, a call was received from South Central Ambulance Service to reports a man trapped in his car following a collision.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Maidenhead and Windsor were sent to the scene.
Firefighters released the man using cutting gear and he was then placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Saturday 19 August
At 5.33pm, Thames Valley Fire Control Service received reports of a shed fire on Bramshaw Road, Tilehurst.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Dee Road were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire had spread to a neighbour’s shed. Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the blaze.
At 1.32pm, a call was received reporting a car fire on Amity Road, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Wokingham Road were sent to the scene.
Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Friday 18 August
At 8pm, Thames Valley Fire Control Service received reports of a road traffic collision from Thames Valley Police in Emmer Green, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Wokingham Road were sent to the scene.
Firefighters assisted by making the car safe and then handed the incident back to Thames Valley Police.
