Business Fire Safety Week

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is supporting Business Fire Safety Week (5 – 11 September) by urging local businesses to be extra vigilant and make sure that all fire precautions are taken to ensure a safe workplace.

We are asking Berkshire businesses to:

  • Work with us to ensure their premises are safe and that they update assessments and procedures in response to changes in the business;
  • Help us reduce the number of false alarms which drain time and resources;
  • Help protect themselves from arson; and
  • Make sure they share fire safety information with their staff.

Mark Gaskarth, Area Manager at RBFRS, said: “Business Fire Safety Week offers a great opportunity to train new staff and remind existing staff of the importance of fire safety and make it an everyday part of working life so employees can respond safely and appropriately in the event of an incident.
