Public consultation event to be held at Theale Library

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is holding a public consultation exhibition to talk to local residents about plans to develop a new fire station on Wigmore Lane in Theale.

The plans are at an early stage and subject to the outcome of negotiations with the site’s owner – but this exhibition has been scheduled to provide local residents with an opportunity to learn more about the plans and provide initial feedback.

The exhibition will take place in the Gateway Centre, Theale Library on Church Street, Theale. It will be open for the public to drop in on Wednesday 3 May, from 3 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm.

Simon Jefferies, Assistant Chief Fire Officer at RBFRS, said: “Although we’re some way off opening a new station, we want to ensure that local residents are formally consulted with and kept informed every step of the way.

“All are welcome – if you would like to find out more about our plans, please come and see us at Theale Library on the 3 May.”
