Fire service and NHS partnership helps Berkshire residents give the ultimate gift

With the season of giving in full flow, residents are being encouraged to make and keep their appointments to giving blood, to help hospitals meet patient demand over the festive season and in the New Year.

In Berkshire, a partnership between Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and NHS Blood and Transplant means that residents can now donate at eight local fire stations.

The formal arrangement began at Wokingham Fire Station in April 2016 and has already helped more than 5,000 people give blood in the county. You can find out more about this by watching the video above.
