The sale of Dee Road Fire Station was completed on 31 May.
The buyer, Bellway Homes Limited, will work through the statutory planning process, which will include any required engagement with the local community.
The sale of the station follows the public consultation that was held in 2017. The sale of Dee Road Fire Station was linked to the opening of the new community fire station in Theale. Theale Community Fire Station is now operational after crews relocated from Dee Road to Theale at the start of September 2021.
Residents of Tilehurst and neighbouring areas can be reassured that they continue to receive a high level of service from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, from nearby stations.
