DESCRIPTION:UPDATE 16/05/2025 — Following the tragic incident in Bicester yesterday\, we have made the decision to postpone our Open Day at Caversham Road Fire Station. \n\n\n\nThe event was due to take place tomorrow (Saturday\, 17 May) between 11am and 4pm. \n\n\n\nWe apologise for any inconvenience caused. \n\n\n\nORIGINAL POST \n\n\n\nCaversham Road Fire Station will be hosting a fun-filled Open Day on Saturday\, 17 May between 11am and 4pm. \n\n\n\nThis event will be free to attend. \n\n\n\nPlease note that parking will not be available on site. \n\n\n\nThe nearest parking is either on Chatham Street or Vastern Road. \n\n\n\nPlease note that the car park at TGI Fridays and The Range is for customers only and may incur fines.

DESCRIPTION:Session 3 – Station visits and demonstrations \n\n\n\nWant to learn more about becoming a Firefighter? \n\n\n\nIf so\, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is running a series of open sessions to help you decide if it’s the career for you. \n\n\n\nWith our recruitment window set to open soon\, this is an ideal opportunity to come along to find out more about the role\, the application process and what life at a fire station is like. \n\n\n\nIf you don’t know much about the fire and rescue service at the moment – don’t worry! These sessions have been designed to give anyone a flavour of the role – whether you’ve thought about it before or not. \n\n\n\nAll sessions are free to attend\, but please note that they may be subject to change based on operational requirements. \n\n\n\nWe are offering four sessions\, which will be held both online and at our fire stations across Berkshire. You are welcome to attend the session that is most convenient for you.  We would encourage you to attend one session from each to give you a thorough overview of the role and what the recruitment process involves. However\, it is not mandatory to attend all sessions. \n\n\n\nSession 3 – Station visits and demonstrations. DESCRIPTION:Firefighters will be holding a charity car wash in an effort to raise as much money as possible for a very worthy cause. \n\n\n\nAll the money raised going to The Fire Fighters Charity. \n\n\n\nThe Fire Fighters Charity provides a range of services for fire service personnel and their families\, including therapy and rehabilitation for injured firefighters. Donations help the charity to continue in the provision of life enhancing services to the fire and rescue community. \n\n\n\nThe suggested minimum donation is £5 per car.
