DESCRIPTION:Session 4 – Have a Go events \n\n\n\nWant to learn more about becoming a Firefighter? \n\n\n\nIf so\, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is running a series of open sessions to help you decide if it’s the career for you. \n\n\n\nWith our recruitment window set to open soon\, this is an ideal opportunity to come along to find out more about the role\, the application process and what life at a fire station is like. \n\n\n\nIf you don’t know much about the fire and rescue service at the moment – don’t worry! These sessions have been designed to give anyone a flavour of the role – whether you’ve thought about it before or not. \n\n\n\nAll sessions are free to attend\, but please note that they may be subject to change based on operational requirements. \n\n\n\nWe are offering four sessions\, which will be held both online and at our fire stations across Berkshire. You are welcome to attend the session that is most convenient for you.  We would encourage you to attend one session from each to give you a thorough overview of the role and what the recruitment process involves. However\, it is not mandatory to attend all sessions. \n\n\n\nSession 4 – Have a Go events. This session will run at fire stations between 3-9 December. SUMMARY:Langley Fire Station Open Day
DESCRIPTION:Langley are holding an open day on Friday\, 31 August from 10am to 4pm.  \n\n\n\nIncluded in the day will be a static display of fire service vehicles\, such as the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood and the Zetros forest firefighting vehicle from Bracknell.  \n\n\n\nThe staff will conduct live incident demonstrations\, which will include a road traffic collisions and rescue from height scenario. A water safety demonstration unit will be on hand to show the dangers of swimming in open water around weirs. \n\n\n\nThroughout the day\, the Prevention department will be demonstrating the dangers of chip pan fires and providing information on fire safety. We also have various partner agencies on site including Thames Valley Police\, South Central Ambulance Service\, Slough Borough Council and Solutions for Health.
