Values and Culture in Fire and Rescue Services

Recommendation 1

By 1 October 2023, chief fire officers should make sure their services provide a confidential way for staff to raise concerns and that staff are aware of whistleblowing processes. 

RBFRS action: We have a confidential reporting line (Say So) which is available for all staff to report concerns.  RBFRS also have a Grievance, Bullying and Harassment Policy for reporting of any complaints (either informally or formally) and a Whistleblowing Policy.  All policies are available to employees via the Employee Handbook on Siren.
