Animal Rescue in Bucklebury

At 10:12am on Sunday, 14 December, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on an unnamed road known as Cemetery Road in Bucklebury, Reading.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside the Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Community Fire Station and the Animal Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station.

Upon arrival, crews found one unwell horse on its side in a stable. With assistance from a vet, crews helped the horse to its feet and ensured that it was stable and healthy. The horse was left in the care of the owner and the vet.

Crews were on scene for approximately two hours and seven minutes.
