At 9:56am on Saturday, 15 November, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue near Hampstead Norreys Road in Thatcham.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Animal Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station, the Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Community Fire Station, and one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a horse stuck in a metal fence. With assistance from an equine vet, crews rescued the horse from the fencing.
They were on scene for approximately two hours and 25 minutes.
