At 11:26pm on Saturday, 4 October, we received reports of a fire near Crookham Hill in Newbury.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found hay bales within a barn on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two main jets to put out the fire and dampen down the area.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 46 minutes.
One crew from Newbury Fire Station later returned to the scene three times for further reinspections and to dampen down any hotspots.
