At 7:38pm on Tuesday, 9 December, we received reports of an electrical installation on fire on Water Lane in Greenham, Thatcham.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found one electrical post on fire, with the fire also affecting a hedge and tree. While the flames on the electrical post burnt out, firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire affecting the hedge and tree. The scene was handed over to Southern Electric Board (SEB).
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and 24 minutes.
