At 9:48am on Sunday, 11 January, we received reports of a fire on Napier Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a tumble dryer fire in a laundry room. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and one CO2 extinguisher to put out the fire, before ventilating the property and monitoring gas levels.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 13 minutes.
