At 7:37pm on Wednesday, 28 January, we received reports of a fire on Wensley Road, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood were sent to the scene, alongside an Officer.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire in a flat. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel, before a thermal imaging camera was used to ensure no further fire spread. Crews were on the scene for about one hour and 20 minutes before handing over to Thames Valley Police.
