At 10:09pm on Friday, 20 March, we received reports of a fire on Lancaster Close in Thatcham.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and one crew from Theale Community Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire in a ground floor flat. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire and make the scene safe.
They were on scene for approximately one hour.
