At 6:42pm on Tuesday, 15 July, we received reports of a fire in the open on Luckley Road in Wokingham.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bracknell, Wokingham and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Zetros Water Carrier from Bracknell Fire Station and one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found that an out of control fire from controlled burning had spread to a wooden outbuilding. Firefighters used two hose reels and two main jets to put out the fire, before using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots and make the scene safe.
They were on scene for approximately two hours and 15 minutes.
One crew from Wokingham Fire Station returned to the scene the next morning for a reinspection.
