At 5:04pm on Thursday, 14 August, we received reports of a fire on The Street in Mortimer Common.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Wokingham, Ascot, Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform and three Officers.
Crews from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are also at the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a house on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used three hose reels, a main jet and the Aerial Ladder Platform to extinguish the fire.
Crews were at the scene for approximately four hours and 40 minutes before returning the following morning to check for hotspots.
