At 6:55pm on Saturday, 6 September, we received reports of a fire on West End Road in Mortimer Common.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer and one crew from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire on the first floor of a derelict building. Firefighters used two hose reels to put out the fire, before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 44 minutes.
