At 11:28am on Thursday, 19 March, we received reports of a fire on Cromwell Road in Newbury.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury, Theale and Hungerford fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside two Officers.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire on the first floor of the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property. Crews gave immediate emergency care to one person, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service. The scene was then handed over to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were on scene for approximately two hours and 14 minutes.
