At 9:59am on Thursday, 27 November, we received reports of a fire on Cholmeley Place in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Caversham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire in a first floor bedroom. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
