At 6:34pm on Monday, 7 July, we received reports of a fire at an apartment block on Railway Terrace in Slough.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley, Windsor, Whitley Wood and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station and one Officer.
Two crews and one Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, and two crews from London Fire Brigade also attended the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire on the balcony of a third floor flat. Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a ladder to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the building and make the scene safe.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 13 minutes.
