Carbon Monoxide in Maidenhead

At 9:45am on Tuesday, 30 December, we received reports of a fire at a flat on Sounding Arch Way in Maidenhead.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Maidenhead, Windsor and Slough fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found the carbon monoxide alarm sounding. Crews used a gas detector, before requesting the attendance of the gas board and South Central Ambulance Service. Crews used a ventilation fan to ventilate the building and a thermal imaging camera to ensure the scene was safe. Four people were placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were on scene for approximately two hours and one minute.
