Fire in Windsor

At 12:37am on Saturday, 6 September, we received reports of an industrial fire on Eton Wick Road in Windsor.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley, Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot, Wokingham Road, Mortimer, Whitley Wood, and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station, the Water Carrier from Bracknell Fire Station, and two Officers.

One crew and one Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service was also sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found one barn one fire involving multiple vehicles and an exterior electric pylon. Firefighters used two main jets, three hose reels and one hydrant to put out the fire and dampen down the area.

They were on scene for approximately 11 hours and 45 minutes.

One crew from Slough Fire Station later returned to the scene for a reinspection, where they used one hose reel to dampen down hotspots.

Later, one crew from Slough Fire Station returned to the scene for another reinspection, where they dampened down hotspots.

One crew from Slough Fire Station carried out another reinspection the following day, where no hotspots were found.
