At 8:46am on Friday, 13 March, we received reports of a fire at an industrial building on Hambridge Lane in Newbury.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and one crew from Theale Community Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found that the fire had been extinguished by onsite staff prior to their arrival. Firefighters removed two metal containers that were involved in the fire from the building and submerged powdered metal dust in buckets of water, before using a thermal imaging camera to monitor the temperature of the machinery to check for hotspots and ensure the scene was safe.
They were on scene for approximately 16 minutes.
