At 11:56pm on Sunday, 1 February, we received reports of a fire at an industrial property on Milford Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood, Theale, Wokingham, Bracknell, Slough, Windsor and Newbury fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station, an Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station, and three Officers.
One crew from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, one crew from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, and two crews from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were also sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire at the property involving gas cylinders. One person was placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two main jets, two hose reel jets and the Aerial Ladder Platform to put out the fire, before handing the scene over to the property owner. A 200-metre cordon was put in place during the incident.
Crews were on scene for approximately 16 hours and 46 minutes.

Crews are still at the scene and have the fire under control.
