At 8:48am on Tuesday, 10 February, we received reports of a fire on Laud Close in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a small kitchen fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property and make the scene safe. The scene was then handed over to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and 13 minutes.
