At 6:11pm on Thursday, 22 January, we received a report of a fire in Holybrook Road, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a small fire in the kitchen. Firefighters put out the fire and provided immediate emergency care to one resident who was left in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
