At 5:44am on Friday, 24 October, we received reports of a road traffic collision on Bridge Avenue in Maidenhead.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Maidenhead Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside the Operational Support Unit from Whitley Wood Fire Station.
Upon arrival, the crew discovered a collision involving one lorry that was leaking diesel. Firefighters used a Dammit mat and absorbent granules to contain the leak before draining the remaining diesel from the leaking fuel tank.
The crew was at the scene for approximately two hours and 15 minutes.
