UPDATE:
At 10:22am on Thursday, 5 March, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a road traffic collision on the A4 in Newbury between Gravel Hill and Milkhouse Road.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, along with one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry that was carrying liquid petroleum gas (LPG).
Two people were placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service, and the car was made safe. A cordon was put in place while the lorry was recovered, and for gas monitoring. The scene was handed over to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were on scene for approximately five hours and 55 minutes.

At 10:22am on Thursday, 5 March, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a road traffic collision on the A4 in Newbury between Gravel Hill and Milkhouse Road.

We are urging people to avoid the area if possible. A further update will be provided when the incident has been cleared.
