Road Traffic Collision in Reading

At 6:41pm on Thursday, 18 December, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a road traffic collision on Palmers Lane in Grazeley Green, Reading.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Whitley Wood, Theale, Bracknell and Crowthorne fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside an Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station and two Officers.

Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving three cars with no people trapped. Two people were placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Due to a collision with a gas main causing a gas leak, Thames Valley Police and crews cordoned off the area and evacuated nearby properties. The gas main was isolated by SGN, before crews handed over the scene to Thames Valley Police.

Crews were on scene for approximately four hours and 12 minutes.
