At 7:20pm on Friday, 5 September, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a road traffic collision on the A34 Southbound between East Ilsley and Chieveley.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene. One crew from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was also sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving one car and no people trapped. Crews gave immediate emergency care to one person, before safely placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and handing the scene over to National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 42 minutes.
