At 10:22am on Saturday, 14 February, we received a call from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service to reports of a road traffic collision on the A34 southbound between the A343 Andover Road and the B4640 Winchester Road.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving two cars with one person trapped. Crews safely rescued the person from the vehicle, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Crews then made the scene safe and handed the incident over to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were on scene for approximately 24 minutes.
