At 4:20pm on Thursday, 22 January, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the M4 between Junctions 13 in Chieveley and 14 in Shefford Woodlands.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury fire station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving one car. Firefighters made the scene safe and moved the driver to a point of safety.
The scene was then handed over to Thames Valley Police and National Highways.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 49 minutes.
