At 6:35pm on Wednesday, 7 January, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 between Junctions 6 and 7.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Maidenhead and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving three cars. Firefighters made the scene safe and provided immediate emergency care to one person. Another person was taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. The scene was then handed over to Thames Valley Police and National Highways.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 30 minutes.
