At 1:05pm on Monday, 28 July, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 Eastbound between Junction 12 in Theale and Junction 11 in Three Mile Cross.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and one crew from Theale Community Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving three cars and two trailers. Firefighters gave immediate emergency care to one person, before safely placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and handing the scene over to National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 40 minutes.
