At 9:20pm on Tuesday, 27 January, we received a call from South Central Ambulance Service to reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 westbound between Junction 12 in Theale and Junction 13 in Chieveley.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Theale, Whitley Wood and Caversham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Community Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving six vehicles with no people trapped. Crews gave immediate emergency care to one person, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews were on scene for approximately 36 minutes.
