At 5:44pm on Thursday, 19 March, we received a call from South Central Ambulance Service to reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 westbound between Junctions 13 in Chieveley and 14 in Shefford Woodlands.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and one crew from Whitley Wood Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving five cars. Crews made the scene safe before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service.
They were on scene for approximately 11 minutes.
