At 2:29pm on Wednesday, 25 March, we received a call from South Central Ambulance Service to reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 westbound between Junctions 5 (Langley) and 6 (Slough Central).
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Langley, Windsor and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one crew from London Fire Brigade.
Upon arrival, crews found a collision involving two vans with two people trapped. Crews gave the people immediate emergency care, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service. The scene was then handed over to Thames Valley Police and National Highways.
Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and nine minutes.
