At 3:41pm on Wednesday, 17 September, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the M4 Eastbound between Junction 10 in Winnersh and Junction 8.9 in Holyport.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bracknell, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire and make the scene safe, before handing the scene over to National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 56 minutes.
