At 10:21am on Saturday, 14 March, we received reports of a vehicle on fire on the M4 eastbound between Junction 10 in Winnersh and Junction 8.9 in Holyport.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ascot, Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to make the scene safe. The scene was then handed over to National Highways.
Crews were on scene for approximately 23 minutes.
