Car Fire on M4(E)

At 5:28am on Tuesday, 31 March, we received reports of a car fire on the M4 eastbound between Junction 6 (Slough Central) and Junction 5 (Langley).

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough Fire Station and one crew from Windsor Fire Station were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to put out the fire and make the scene safe. The scene was then handed over to National Highways for vehicle recovery.

Crews were on scene for approximately 54 minutes.
