At 3:48pm on Friday, 18 April, we received reports of a vehicle on fire on the M4 Westbound between Junction 9 in Holyport and Junction 10 in Winnersh.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. One firefighter equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to put out the fire, before handing the scene over to National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
