At 5:10pm on Friday, 6 March, we received reports of a vehicle on fire on the M4 westbound between Junction 10 in Winnersh and Junction 11 in Three Mile Cross.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bracknell, Wokingham Road and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before using a ventilation fan to clear the smoke. Crews made the vehicle safe, before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police and National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
