At 8:46am on Thursday, 26 February, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the A34 Southbound exit slip road near Chieveley.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a car with an overheated engine. Firefighters made the vehicle safe and handed the scene over to National Highways.
Firefighters were on scene for 46 minutes.
