At 4:41am on Thursday, 2 October, we received a call from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service to reports of a vehicle fire on Hythe End Road in Staines.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Langley and Slough fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Zetros water carrier from Bracknell Fire Station and two Officers.
Upon arrival, crews found one arctic lorry trailer on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets, water from the Zetros, one hydrant and a triple extension ladder to put out the fire, before removing the contents from the trailer to further dampen down. Crews informed the Environment Agency and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead of the incident, before arranging for a reinspection to take place later in the day.
They were on scene for approximately two hours and 51 minutes.
