Vehicle Fire near Frilsham

At 6:05pm on Tuesday, 5 August, we received reports of a vehicle on fire near Frilsham.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside the four-wheel drive vehicle from Mortimer Fire Station and one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found one combine harvester on fire which had spread to a field. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and foam to extinguish the fire and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately two hours and 30 minutes.
